Mbalizi Institute of Health Sciences, Sunrise Campus – Mbozi (MIHSS) is a Faith Based Institute established under Section (5) (1) (a) of the NACTVET Act. GN No. 279 of 2001. It is full registered and full Accredited with Registration Number: REG/HAS/216 to offer training in Pharmaceutical Sciences Programme.It is located at Nanyala Village, Mbozi – Songwe in the Southern Western Zone of Tanzania. It is about 1km away from Tanzania – Zambia (TANZAM) road.
The Institute was established on November 2020 for the purpose of offering health related courses as to extend services from Mbalizi Institute of Health Sciences (Main campus). The management and the Director found that there are needs of providing more educational services after running several programmes successfully for several years. The selection of this location was due to assessment of the area at the main campus and it was found that there is a potential capacity at sunrise due to availability of infrastructure and other reliable resources enough to offer the courses intended.

The Pharmacy Profession is ideally the branch of medical science that trains a person to link health science with chemical science through the research, discovery, development, creation, and distribution of medicine/drugs. Drugs/Medicines are substances (chemical science) that work together with the body to relieve a person from illness through diagnosis, prevention, and cure. These substances can either or in combination be of animal, plant, chemical or marine origin. A person who studies and practices pharmacy is called a pharmacist and can build a career anywhere in the pharmacy value chain, from research to distribution of drugs and each stage has great monetary and non-monetary returns.

Frequently Asked Questions
When a student arrives on campus we tend to have two weeks for orientation before classes start, those two weeks are for getting to know the campus environment.
After those two weeks we have six weeks for block study, after that we have one week for CAT1(Continuous Assessment Test 1) Exams, after that we have another six weeks for block study. After those six weeks we have one week for CAT2 (Continuous Assessment Test 2)after those exams are over, students continue to prepare for the end of semester 1 Exam.

For college ‘intake’ is the time that they can take you in for a course. Normally, colleges have intake in September each year. College plan tom add another intake
In our College, we will give the bank details for payment/online link to pay tuition fees – you can pay direct to them. We advise you to communicate with Accountant office before payment.
